Burwell Fen

Burwell Fen is part of the Wicken Fen nature reserve, managed by the National Trust. It lies to the west of the village of Burwell and has a tiny car park that can be accessed along Harrison's Drove from the village. In some recent winters it has attracted short-eared owls.

After many attempts standing in a cold field in late autumn, this is one of the shots of a short-eared owl I was rewarded with.
